Foundation Subsidence Underpinning

20251110 underpinning

GoliathTech provides a foundation subsidence underpinning solution to stabilize and lift sagging or unstable structures with minimal disruption to the site. This method uses helical (screw) piles and specific underpinning bracket and avoids extensive excavation and is a faster, more economical alternative to traditional underpinning.

How GoliathTech Foundation Subsidence Underpinning Works

The process involves several key steps:

Evaluation: A certified installer assesses the failing foundation, determines the required lift, and analyzes the on-site soil composition.

Installation: Helical (screw) piles are driven deep into the ground using specialized hydraulic equipment. The installation is precise, with the equipment measuring torque to ensure the piles reach dense, compact, and stable soil below.

Support and Lift: Once the stable soil is reached, a specific underpinning bracket is attached to the top of the pile and connected to the existing foundation. A jack is then used to lift and level the structure, transferring the load from the unstable soil to the new, solid foundation system.

Key Benefits

  • Less Excavation: The process requires minimal digging, preserving the existing landscape.
  • Rapid Installation: Piles can often be installed in a couple of days.
  • Durability: The galvanized steel piles are resistant to corrosion and ground movement, ensuring long-term stability with a lifetime warranty.
  • Versatility: The system can be used for residential and commercial projects in all types of soil conditions and in restricted, hard-to-reach spaces.
  • Cost-Effective: It is generally a more economical solution compared to traditional concrete underpinning methods.
