Last weekend we were called to a popular coffee shop in central London to deal with an emergency situation. The café’s worktop had started to slope under the weight of a massive, professional coffee machine, putting both the machine and the work surface at risk. Knowing how much locals love their Saturday coffee here, we understood the urgency to get this sorted out – but we didn’t cut corners on quality or safety.
We arrived bright and early, well before the morning rush. After carefully assessing the situation, we got straight to work. The main issue was the stability of the worktop, so we reinforced it by installing additional support legs beneath. This ensured that the weight of the heavy coffee machine would be properly distributed, avoiding any chance of a repeat incident.
But we didn’t stop there. Several cabinets had also taken a bit of damage, so we repaired and strengthened each one, making sure the whole setup was as sturdy as it could be. Each repair was carried out quickly but carefully – we saw a lot of regular customers popping into the place and we wanted them to be able to have their coffee in their favourite spot as soon as possible.
By the time we finished, the coffee shop was ready to welcome guests, with a secure, stable worktop supporting that beloved coffee machine. And speaking of coffee – yes, they do make an excellent one!
