Hanging a Large Mirror on a Plasterboard Wall

Hanging a Large Mirror on a Plasterboard Wall

We recently installed a beautiful large mirror in our clients living room. The mirror was fairly large, measuring 120cm by 90cm, and was somewhat heavy. Given the mirror’s size and the fact that it was the plasterboard wall, we knew that extra care was needed to ensure it was hung securely.

The Challenge: Plasterboard Wall
Plasterboard walls can sometimes be tricky when it comes to hanging heavy items. A large, heavy mirror like this needs the right fittings to ensure it stays up safely and securely, without risking damage to the wall or the mirror itself.

Our Approach: The Right Fixings
We made sure to use the correct plugs and screws designed specifically for plasterboard. These heavy-duty wall plugs help to distribute the weight evenly across the wall, reducing the risk of pulling out or causing damage. After measurement and preparation, we attached the mirror to the wall with precision and confidence.

The Result: A Stunning Centrepiece
The result? A flawlessly hung mirror that serves as a stunning centrepiece in the room. Not only is it secure, but it also opens up the space, reflecting light and adding a touch of elegance to the living room.

If you’ve got a large mirror or any other heavy item that needs hanging, and you’re unsure about how to safely mount it on a plasterboard wall, give us a call. We’ve got the right tools, skills, and experience to make sure it’s done properly.
